Fishing with Friends 24
This year's friends went out from Captree on the Island Spirit III and headed out beyond the reef. It was an active outing with fish biting everywhere and many "keepers"!

2024 Twilight Tour - CENTRAL
The much anticipated and much needed Visitor’s Center is complete! Kevin Wiecks and his staff were eager to show it off and to share the lesson learned during the disruptive process. He talked about the strategies they used to protect adjacent tree and soils, how the new sustainable technology will benefit the landscape and how plant selection in the new installations integrate with the existing ones. We also got an update on the restoration of the historic Oak Park.
We finished the evening in the historic Carriage House and a fantastic dinner by our friends at Maple Tree BBQ!
2024 Twilight Tour - WEST
This exclusive tour was led by Daniel Miller, Assistant Director of Buildings and Grounds, and we embarked on a captivating journey through the northern portion of this world-renown 110-acre campus. Dan illuminated the historic buildings, majestic trees, and the remaining elements of the Olmstead designed gardens. He also offered valuable insights into the adaptive strategies employed in response to evolving land use and policies.
The conversation continued as we enjoyed a picnic dinner on the beach overlooking the picturesque harbor. The evening ended watching the sun set on the Summer Solstice! It was an unforgettable experience, blending of education, beauty, and community.
